The target group for API Approved Qualified Rigger training is personnel who are required by their employer to have training in the safe use of slings and rigging hardware.

There are no pre-requisites for this training course.
- Duration
Training contains physically demanding and potentially stressful elements. All personnel who participate in such training must
be medically fit and capable of participating fully. Delegates must either:
1. Possess a valid offshore medical certificate; or
2. Possess an Operator approved medical certificate; or
3. Complete a GSS medical screening form prior to attendance
In accordance with section API RP 2D 8.1.4, students should have no history of a disabling medical condition.
- Who is it for
The aim and objectives of the Qualified Rigger training is to provide the knowledge about slings and rigging hardware, and provide students with the ability to demonstrate a satisfactory skill level to be considered qualified in accordance with API recommneded practice 2D.
