Course Description
The NEBOSH International General Certificate is a 10-day, classroom-based training course and a globally recognized qualification that provides essential occupational health and safety (OH&S) skills. The NEBOSH IGC is the entry-level qualification for aspiring HSE professionals. This accreditation, acknowledged by employers worldwide, enhances career prospects.
What certificate will i receive?
Successful students will receive a UK NEBOSH-accredited certificate with no expiration.

What is the duration of the course?
The optimum ‘contact time’ for this training programme is seen as 10 days, plus one additional day for the ‘Open Book Exam’.
What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however, it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

What does the course cover?
With in-depth focus on the things that matter, the NEBOSH International General Certificate covers the core skills you need, wherever in the world you work. You will learn:

• Relevant key international standards
Risk assessment is central to the qualification. Through study and workplace application, successful learners wil be able to:
• Confidently carry out risk assessments;
• Develop and implement a detailed action plan;
• Manage and minimise workplace risks; and
• Support and develop your company’s health and safety culture.
How is the course assessed?
Assessment is a two-step process.
• IG1: A ‘Online' open book examination hosted by NEBOSH to assess what you know; and
• IG2: A practical risk assessment to assess what you can do.

The IG2 assessment is a risk assessment that should be carried out in the learner’s workplace.
